Sketchbook Magazine launches fashion studio in Kingly Court
Kingly Court is a hub of creativity and a destination for independent boutiques and up and coming designers. It is the perfect choice location for the 10 day Sketchbook pop up. The magazine will be compiling the third issue while also housing 15 new and established artists creating live unique art. You can come and take a peek behind the scenes of this fashion and art world, and are invited to join in. One of the 3 floors is dedicated to artists working on their individual projects, covering a huge range of work including illustrations, paintings and sculptures - there are no boundaries and the space is completely open to the artists’ ideas.
Another floor will be dedicated to live fashion shoots. The space will be given to photographers and stylists from various publications shooting editorial spreads as well as designers looking to photograph their look-books and promotional shoots. Each day will bring a new event.
Amongst this creative atmosphere, there will be a live office where Sketchbook’s writers, illustrators, photographers and designers will be compiling the third issue. The open studio will give readers and the public the chance to meet the team and see how an issue is created. Check out the Sketchbook blog to find out the about the latest happenings.
Sketchbook STUDIO will end with a live silent charity auction on Sunday 1st August from 7pm - 9pm with cupcakes, drinks and live music. The art created over the period of studio will be auctioned for charity, giving people the chance to own a one off piece of art from the next big names in contemporary art.
