Elephant Stampede in Carnaby!

A static stampede of amazingly decorated model elephants have appeared on the streets of London including Carnaby.  

These striking and diverse elephant models will occupy strategic locations and Carnaby is proud to have three elephants decorated by internationally renowned fashion designers:  Isaac Mizrahi, the American fashion designer and star of the behind the fashion scene film, ‘Unzipped’, has created ‘Candy’, a stunning example in rainbow swirls in psychedelic colours, appropriate for Carnaby’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

The Elephant Parade is a charity aiming to raise much needed funds and awareness for the endangered Asian elephant which has seen its species decline over the past century from 250,000 to just 25,000.

Lulu Guiness has decorated hers with the brands signature luscious red lips and Julien Macdonald has his covered in his renowned animal print.  Each of these weigh 70kg and measure 148cm in height and 165cm in length.                         

Check out the Elephant Parade pop up shop at 6 Foubert's Place, now open until July, where you can buy all of the elephants as limited edition miniatures.  All the elephants are made of fibre glass and come in various sizes from 10cm to 35cm ranging in price from £6.95 to £229.00.
