Camper stores In 1981 Camper opened its first store in
A shoe shop in which all the styles and sizes could be on view. It was totally revolutionary. The stores became a window through which Camper could share its shoes and its philosophy with the world.
In the early 90’s Camper began its international expansion and also realized that all the
shops, of all the brands, in all shopping areas and in all the cities of the world, were the
same. The character of the city and its culture were being diluted in an interior design
that, although carefully presented, inevitably became aseptic. For Camper, concepts like identity and diversity come hand in hand and for this reason this global conception did not fit in with them. As a result of this observation they came up with the idea to make each store different, with its own unique personality.
Camper Together
Throughout its history the Camper personality and in particular the one that is reflected in its stores, has always been enriched with contributionsby designers, architects and artists. Carlos Rolando, Javier Mariscal, Neville
Brody, Oscar Mariné, Peret or the Memphis group, among many others and in
addition to other well known characters like Fernando Amat, Oleguer Armengol, Jordi Nogués, Shiro Miura or Martí Guixé, the most prolific in the past few years, who have contributed to these spaces, always different and always special and have together become an important active member of the brand for having loyally transmitted the brand values and image to the client.
The Together concept was already born in Camper but had not yet been written.
It now takes on even more strength in the new projects, that will be in limited
edition, like this one that has been created “together” with Jaime Hayon. Adding the experience of one to the wit and charm of the other, the Majorcan Company follows the line of diversity versus the repetition that has been established in the world of commercial interior design. Camper continues innovating and in favour of new languages that communicate the essence of the brand while always maintaining loyal to its original spirit.
