Australian jewellery designer Claire Aristides has been running do it yourself workshops quietly from her Clerkenwell studios for six years. Now her delightful sections of crystal and chain trinkets are available from a jewellery parlour on Kingly Court. Classes will take place in the shop itself, where Claire’s own works will be on display and a counter of crystals the size of your head, fine chains and precious stones will provide the ingredients for your creation. You are also welcome to take in vintage jewels and lockets of your own to add to the mix.
There’s a selection of idiot proof kits for sale, with a step-by-step instructions and a selection if tasteful beads and bobs to get you started. Failing that, buy one of Claire’s elegant cluster pendant necklaces (around £60) and pass it off as your own.
