Hi Panda was founded by Chinese artist Ji-ji, who created three cartoon pandas, 'Happy', 'Evil', and 'Wounded' to use in his artwork. In 2011, the pandas have become the face of a global fashion brand with stores in China, Japan, Korea, France - and now the for the first time in the UK, in Kingly Court.

Ji-ji's pandas represent a new generation - a group who've grown up in an ever-changing, prosperous China and have more confidence than ever before.
The 'Evil Panda' logo represents this generation. Indignant, grumpy and yet still endearing, this little guy means business! The pandas appear in lots of situations throughout Ji-jis artworks, representing in a simple, light-hearted way, the hopes, dreams and challenges of China's 'After 80s generation'.

Based on a 'hip-pop', street style aesthetic, our collections consist of supremely wearable, youthful pieces with loose tailoring and graphic playfulness. Cool but not cold, it's an accessible and confident street style. By bending the rules and finding their own voices, the After 80s generation are driving real change in China.Hi Panda is their essential wardrobe.

In Ji-ji's own words:
"The panda epitomises young people's thoughts and expressions. They are rebellious, independent and willing to be distinguished from others."

Check out Hi Panda's new home on the first floor of Kingly Court, which features a mesmerising interactive 'gallery wall' showcasing an evolving programme of featured artists and artworks.
