A creative pit-stop for everything design related from limited edition sign prints, posters and t-shirts to magazines such as AnOther and Eye, Material is the hottest place for all things creative... and origami bunnies.

Always inspiring, often changing and definitely surprising, Material is a gallery and retail space, exhibiting and selling an array of whimsical items of great substance and design. The gallery-come-boutique space aims to promote artists as well as creating an insight into the world of art and design to create a discussion point with fellow artists and visitors.

A mixture of RCA, Central Saint Martins and Le Havre graduates, Material makes for one of the most eclectic mixes of work alongside other well established artists such as Mike Perry, Spoe, Marcus Walters, Le Gun and members of East London Printmakers.

The key focus of Material lies mainly on art/ print work that is produced in small runs and limited editions, creating a body of work that is not only affordable but also accessible to a wider market. Spearheaded by two graduates of The University of The Arts, there was always going to be an edgy twist to anything Lucy Payne and Joseph Gimlik create.

To celebrate the launch of Material in Carnaby's Kingly Court,  a limited edition James Joyce tea towel will be given away with every purchase of Eye Magazine, designed exclusively for Eye Magazine.
