Shaston is the old English name for Shaftesbury, the Devon town near the home of Hall & Woodhouse Ltd. It was seen as a fitting title to tie in with Carnaby's landlords, Shaftesbury Plc.
The Shaston Arms opened in December 2000 and is one of Hall & Woodhouse's 260 pubs across the South of England. It is a traditional beer pub offering a relaxed atmosphere with Dorset country ales from the Badger Brewery.
