As a top-class food (and drink) destination, you’d be mistaken to think that all the action happens indoors in Carnaby. Al fresco eateries rule the roost in London (whatever the weather), so make sure to take advantage of the sunny days while you can.
Carnaby Eats is a celebration of all things foodie in the area, and with over 60 dining and drinking options, 30 cuisines and 1,500 al fresco seats, this is the place to head for some fresh air. Sit outdoors, sip on a cocktail, eat good food and chat until light turns to dark. Luckily, there are plenty of places to do just that in Carnaby, so grab your friends and venture to one of these hotspots.
Pastaio on Ganton Street always delivers the Italian goods with a range of tantalising small plates and freshly-made pasta (if you know what’s good for you, don’t miss out on their whole lobster linguine sharer).

Travel the world without leaving London in buzzing Kingly Court. With plenty of open-air options spanning global gastronomy such as; Israeli-inspired The Good Egg, Pizza Pilgrims, Japanese spot Shoryu, vegan Mexican fare from Club Mexicana and rotisserie-focussed Whyte & Brown, there is something to suit everyone.
Vying for the tapas top spot is Dehesa on Ganton Street and Tapas Brindisa on Broadwick Street. Fortunately, each has their own distinctive take on the cuisine (but both have cover, just in case the great British weather takes a turn for the worst).
If you’re after Asian food with a twist, head to the kerbside area of Ugly Dumpling on Newburgh Street and chow down on the cheeseburger or Thai green curry dumplings.

Don’t miss out on one of the most scenic spots in Carnaby, FOLIE overlooking Golden Square serves up a fusion of high-quality French-Italian cuisine on a rather lovely terrace.
