Music was in the air this June for Soho Music Month and we celebrated by hosting the Newburgh Quarter Sessions every Thursday.
Soho Music Month is a free music and cultural festival that took place throughout Carnaby and our neighbour Soho in June, to see what events we had throughout the month click here.
The Newburgh Quarter Sessions were a series of FREE outdoor music gigs, showcasing London's diverse music scene. Every Thursday from 5-9pm we rolled out a lawn on Ganton Street in the Newburgh Quarter for good tunes and good vibes whilst people lounged on bean bags in the summer sun.
ROCK THE BELLES HIP HOP BATTLE
Thursday 7 June
A celebration of females who are making their mark in music, featuring BBC 1Xtra’s Melody Kane & Emily Rawson, plus Ellie Proham, Fearney and Sandra Omari. The evening will be hosted by South London rapper and BBC One presenter Dotty.

An exclusive performance that was hosted by @London's Stageside with artist Alex Tracey performing infectious funk and indie-pop rhythms.
PLATFORM LDN EMERGING TALENT SHOWCASE
Thursday 21 June
In association with NME and TuneCore, emerging new talent; Koko Clay, Lid, Effie, Loux, Estee Blu and Emerald Rose shared the bill with a high-profile headliner.
DIRTY BONES BITES & BEATS TAKEOVER
Thursday 28 June
Rounding off the four-week series, the NYC restaurant Dirty Bones had their resident female DJs spin old school hip-hop, funk and soul. Everyone tucked into limited edition Mac Daddy sliders with 50p from each dish sold going towards charity partner Youth Music’s life changing initiatives for young people in challenging circumstances across England.
