The 13 streets of Carnaby were filled with party-goers in high spirits for the ultimate Christmas shopping party and lights switch on.
The legendary party-starters elrow took the stage at 5pm and were joined by DJ's Eats Everything, De la swing, George Privatti & Patrick Topping throughout the night.
At 6pm, the crowd was wowed by the Carnaby lights switch on, along with 120kg of confetti fired from canons, 1200 60s inspired inflatables & toys, and tens of stilt-walkers and performers to bring in the Carnaby Christmas Revolution.
This year’s lights take their inspiration from the V&A’s exhibition You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-1970 at the V&A until 26 February 2017, which features Carnaby Street at the heart of ‘swinging’ sixties London.
Ticket holders enjoyed 20% off in over 100 shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, as well as a complimentary lanique cocktail at the pop-up bar on Ganton Street, plus tons of in-store DJs, makeovers, nibbles and more.
There were live customisation booths in both Illamasqua and Dr. Martens, Piaggio vans at Pizza Pilgrims and AQ/AQ serving complimentary drinks to party-goers, 60s hair styling and cuts at Barbers Point and V&A, makeovers at Benefit and DJs in MOSCOT, Ben Sherman, David Naman, Skinnydip and more.
