In 1979 The Mod revival had exploded onto the streets of Britain, Heavily Influenced by the music of Paul Weller and The Jam, and the release of The Who’s QUADROPHENIA movie, a story of 60’s MOD culture.
In the same year, Sherry's opened its doors on Carnaby Street for the first time, offering Classic British made Tailored 3 Button Suits. Harrington Jackets, Original M65 MOD Parkas, Italian Knitwear and a selection of footwear from Loafers and Bowling shoes to Monkey/Beatle and Chelsea Boots.
Sherry’s continues this heritage today almost 40 years later by updating the classic British mod style for the Modern man and woman in their store.
Sherry's pride themselves on British Quality, and stock only limited edition and small run items from Brands such as John Smedley, Failsworth, Gabicci, Art Gallery, Love Her Madly, Run and Fly, Loake, Ikon Footwear, Underground Shoes, Bass Weejuns.
Alongside these brands, Sherry's produces two mainline own brand collections a year, designed and produced exclusively in the UK which includes formal and casual shirting, ties and pocket squares, outerwear and off the peg, made to measure/bespoke tailoring in seasonal fabrics and colours made only from UK milled fabrics.
Residing in Carnaby for nearly 40 years, Sherry's has built a huge and loyal following among Musicians/Performers/Actors across the decades such as Paul Weller, Oasis, BLUR, Led Zeppelin, The Buzzcocks, Skepta, Ocean Colour Scene., Green Day, Whoopi Goldberg, The Lightning Seeds, The Libertines, Baby Shambles, Madness, The Specials, Selecter, The Stone Roses, Primal Scream, Blondie, Chris Evans, Guy Ritchie and Amy Winehouse, amongst others.
