Specialising in Hakata tonkotsu ramen, inspired by Executive Chef Kanji Furukawa and Director Tak Tokumine’s hometown of Fukuoka, the birthplace of this dish, Shoryu Carnaby offers a huge range of rich, cream pork-broth tonkotsu ramen including double rich Kotteri, fiery Karaka Tantan and a Carnaby exclusive fit for a King. Sides include fluffy char siu pork belly filled Shoryu Buns, pan fried gyoza and soft shell crab tempura, as well as desserts with Asian flavours such as matcha green tea and yuzu citrus.
The bar offers a huge selection of Japanese delights including sake, Japanese craft beer, wine, shochu and bespoke sake cocktails that change with the seasons.
The restaurant features an open ramen kitchen where diners can watch the chefs cook up a storm, an authentic Hakata tile wall and modern Japanese features. In the summer the windows will be drawn back to create an open-air restaurant in the vibrant Kingly Court courtyard.
