This trendy warehouse-style London restaurant specializes in fabulous free-range chicken. Advocates of strength in simplicity, Whyte & Brown’s philosophy is to make the most of selected produce from trusted suppliers.
The humble chicken is the ‘hero’ ingredient on the Whyte & Brown menu. Starters include grilled chipotle & lime glazed wings with buttermilk range dressing; a Spanish scotch egg with saffron aioli & padron peppers; and classic chicken goujons with tomato mayo. For vegetarians there’s a thai carrot, coconut & lemongrass soup and mozzarella, peperonata sourdough toast with rocket pesto.
Main dishes include the ever-popular chicken (or halloumi) souvlaki with garden pea & mint hummus, black olive tapenade, Greek-style salad, feta, tzatziki & pitta; a Summer half roast with grilled romaine and parsley, lemon & garlic; and chicken paillard with heritage tomatoes & rocket. For burger loves, we’ve got our roast chicken crispy burger with gravy mayo, crispy chicken skin & sage and onion relish: plus our new sweet & sour fillet burger with bacon, pineapple, red onion, lettuce & spicy Korean bbq sauce.
To finish, there’s a dark chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce & cornflake ice cream; homemade mixed berry baked cheesecake with crème fraiche; and tropical mess.
An extensive wine list, great craft beers, and classic cocktails can also be enjoyed in the quirky restaurant and bar interior, where giant exposed bulbs hang from industrial metal hooks over the bar and chunky wooden tables and white-washed factory pipes fill the dining space. There’s also a great alfresco dining available out in the courtyard all year round.
Just off Regent Street and London’s iconic Carnaby Street, Whyte & Brown is a 5-minute walk from Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus Tube stations.
