This light and airy, warehouse-style London restaurant specializes in free-range chicken. Advocates of strength in simplicity, Whyte & Brown’s philosophy is to make the most of selected produce from trusted suppliers.
The humble chicken is the ‘hero’ ingredient on the Whyte & Brown menu. Starters include chicken goujons with truffle mayo, spinach and potato soup for vegans and Pitta with hummus.
Main dishes include the ever-popular chicken (or halloumi) souvlaki with beetroot hummus, black olive tapenade, Greek-style salad, tzatziki & pitta. For burger lovers, they have got the roast chicken crispy burger with gravy mayo, crispy chicken skin and sage & onion relish; a grilled chicken fillet burger with avocado, herb mayo, slaw and grilled tomato relish; and their vegetarian sweet potato & chickpea falafel burger with tzatziki & slaw.
To finish, there’s a chocolate & walnut brownie with vanilla ice cream; a seasonal eton mess; and a baked blueberry & lime cheesecake.
An extensive wine list, great craft beers, and classic cocktails can also be enjoyed in the quirky restaurant and bar interior, where giant exposed bulbs hang from industrial metal hooks over the bar and chunky wooden tables and white-washed factory pipes fill the dining space. There’s also great alfresco dining available out in the courtyard all year round.
Open all day, the breakfast menu includes dishes such as the classic Full English; avocado on toast with poached eggs & smoked chilli; and shakshuka with coconut yoghurt.
Just off London’s iconic Carnaby Street, Whyte & Brown is a 5-minute walk from Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus Tube stations.
